Gorkha High School is an educational community where students and staff of various nationalities and background live, study and work together in a congenial atmosphere. Gorkha High School established in 2002 AD. It is a co-educational institution and caters to the educational needs of boys and girls from class Nursery to class XII.
The aim is to provide an all-round education in which children are prepared to face any crisis in life with moral dignity and to become useful and loyal citizens of the country. This understanding is reflected in the school motto “Disciplined education leads the world.” The school does not merely prepare students to pass examinations or enter a profession but also aims at creating a tolerant, balanced, independent individual with the right attitude of mind and spirit and a desire to help others. Its special characteristic is the wide range of activities that it provides with the ideas of developing a full personality and bringing out the talents of the students for their own benefit and that of society as a whole.
The school implements the National curriculum. At the class 10 stage, students are prepared for the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) validated by the Government of Nepal. Subjects include English, Nepali, Math, Science, Social Studies, Environment, Population & Health (E.P.H.), and Optional Maths. Students must choose either Computer Studies or Accountancy as their optional subject II.
Every year, about 25-30 students appear for the SEE exams. The success rate is almost 100%, out of which 90% secure the A+.
