Admission Procedure

Gorkha High School learning philosophy promotes those values and attributes that children will need to thrive in the 21st century. Our children are encouraged to be thoughtful, innovative, enquiring, resilient and adaptable and to always respect, cooperate and to communicate responsibly with others.

We take new children and students throughout the year if we have suitable spaces. There is an entry assessment for all students prior to admissions so we know each child’s strength and areas of development as soon as they arrive so we can support them appropriately on their learning journey. Gorkha High School is characterized by its friendly community and new parents can meet other parents, teachers and other staffs and new learners are allocated special friends and buddies to help them quickly settle in.

The best way to experience the environment and atmosphere of the school is to come and visit us. We are happy to show you around the facilities, introduce you to members of the Gorkha High School team and answer any questions that you may have about what we do.

Admission Process

1. Complete the registration form and attach photocopies of all relevant documents. Submit your application from the Admission Office within the stipulated date.
2. Registration is followed by an Entrance Examination and an interview.
3. The results of the admission tests are displayed on the school board within three days from the date of the Entrance Examination.
4. Pay admission fee, annual charges, school fee, and other fees.

Note: In lower classes, admission can be sometimes taken in the middle of a session subjected to availability of seats.

Fee Rules

• Annual fee is only charged once a year. Every student is charged an Annual fee at the beginning of an academic session in lieu of the services the school provided for the entire year. This fee is charged every year to meet the expenses for the services and the maintenance of school property for period of one whole year
• Admission fee is paid at the time of admission only. This fee is charged to a new student at the time of admission, this fee is non-refundable.
• All fees charges for the full session.
• No reduction is made in any kind of fees for short or extended absence.
• There shall be no refund of fees under any circumstances.
• There shall be no refund of any fees when student is suspended or expelled from the school.
• In case a student is asked to leave in the middle of a session due to misconduct or any other reason, he/she will have to pay the charges for the whole academic session.

Scholarship

Gorkha High School has launched various scholarship programs for the upliftment of the poor but meritorious students. Identifying talent and giving then a chance to shine in life has become one of the principles of Gorkha High School.

Scholarship is normally awarded to students of classes Nursery to X. The school provides financial assistance to needy students from the remote districts of Nepal.
